The press wants you to believe the proposed Warner Bros.–Netflix merger is just another business deal in Hollywood. It’s not. It’s a setup for Michelle Obama’s 2028 presidential run, and the Obama-ites are building a streaming empire to launch her campaign.
If the merger is approved, the Obamas, through their expanding production company, Higher Ground, would enjoy unprecedented influence over the largest consolidated streaming platform in American history. With their loyalists already embedded inside Netflix and throughout the Democratic Party machinery, the timing couldn’t be better.
The Obamas’ upcoming movies and shows for 2026 appear designed to prepare the American public for Michelle Obama’s candidacy. Higher Ground Productions’ upcoming series, “All the Sinners Bleed,” is about a sheriff in Southern Virginia confronting a “far-right” group marching with tiki torches to honor Confederate monuments. This is essentially a repackaging of Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign launch video, which focused on the events in Charlottesville, Virginia. The media, the Left, and Big Tech weaponized the Charlottesville storyline to smear President Trump with the false “fine people on both sides” hoax.
Now the Obamas are resurrecting the same script in prestige-television form just in time to soften the ground for Michelle in 2028.
Another Higher Ground project, a Netflix drama portraying the relationship between former FTX executives Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, seems intended to generate sympathy for the disgraced former crypto king and major Democrat donor.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Julia Garner will star in the series, which reframes the FTX scandal as a tragic romance. This is particularly convenient given the Obamas’ proximity to FTX:
- Former Obama CFTC Commissioner Mark Wetjen served as FTX’s head of policy. Wetjen attended a 2022 Biden White House meeting that President Trump has publicly stated was influenced by Barack Obama.
Rehabilitating Bankman-Fried’s image and propping up Democrat mega-donors isn’t entertainment, it’s laying the groundwork for fundraising on a national scale.
The staffing at Higher Ground Productions looks less like a production company and more like Obama’s third White House.

- Former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice holds a seat on the Netflix board, a powerful programming position, after spending years helping drive the Trump-Russia collusion hoax and carrying the water for Obama’s failed foreign policy agenda.

Obama isn’t expanding his influence over America’s largest streaming companies because he needs the money. Obama isn’t exerting greater influence over congressional Democrats to merely help them win reelection. Obama isn’t refreshing Michelle’s image, reactivating his donor base, and reinvigorating his “community organizing” machine for nostalgia. He’s doing it to create a monopoly on power within the Democratic party, clearing the way for Michelle in the next presidential election.
President Trump has a responsibility to prevent the Obamas from reshaping America’s cultural and political landscape. As Congressman Darrell Issa and others have said, the Trump administration must block the Netflix-Warner Bros. merger on antitrust grounds to prevent the wholesale takeover of the world’s largest streaming platform by Obama Incorporated.
