A full two weeks hasn’t even passed since Joe Biden was inaugurated, yet he has already endangered the entire nation by appointing a terror tied Palestinian Muslim, Maher Bitar, to the position of Senior Director for Intelligence at the National Security Council.
Bitar has a long history of terror associations, dating back to his time in college at Georgetown where he was on the executive board of the school’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, which has documented ties to Islamic terrorist organizations including Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and the Marxist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).” SJP has spent decades pretending to be an innocent, grassroots pro-Palestinian group, but instead, it is a group that is dedicated to the destruction of Israel with a history of inviting convicted terrorists to speak at their meetings and conventions. Additionally, SJP is the largest anti-Israel campus group in the country, and numerous Congressional testimonies show dangerously close ties between SJP and Islamic terrorists. SJP was co-founded at UC-Berkeley by Hatem Bazian in 2000. Bazian is an anti-American and anti-Jewish activist who has called for the killing of Jews and the destruction of Israel. Bitar happily served on the executive board of SJP.
Here is a list of numerous examples of SJP’s ties to Islamic terrorism.
Naturally, Bitar’s support of SJP has spurred his carrer as a highly anti-Semitic and anti-Israel activist who has advocated in support of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement which seeks to wage economic warfare on Israel through international boycotts of products from Israel.
In other words, a devout Muslim who believes in the eradication of Israel and has terror ties via his associations with SJP now has access to the United States’ most sensitive intelligence information.
But don’t let me be the one to tell you how dangerous Bitar is. Take it from the Democrat Party’s favorite paper of record, the Washington Post. In 2006, the Washington Post published an op ed titled ““Why Is Georgetown Providing a Platform for This Dangerous Group?”
The group that became the focus of the op ed is the Palestine Solidarity Movement (PSM), another pro BDS group with terrorist ties to Hamas, and a history of Jew hatred and support for murdering Jews. Bitar was involved with organizing the group’s 5th Annual Conference at Georgetown University in 2006. At the group’s 2004 conference, which was held at Duke University, Huwaida Arraf, one PSM’s main organizers, admitted that the Palestine Solidarity Movement works with Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. All of these groups have been designated as Islamic terrorist organization by the United States State Department.
In an article posted in Georgetown’s student paper, The Hoya, Batir’s participation in the organization of the conference was documented.
“SJP member Maher Bitar (SFS ’06), one of the principal organizers of the conference, said that a group of about 25 volunteers made began making final technical preparations for the three-day event last night and are continuing today. Bitar said that plans for the convention were progressing well despite the threat of protests.
“I’m very optimistic. Hopefully it’s going to be huge,” he said. “I think the student body has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive of what we’re doing. . Really the negativity has come out not from within the campus but from outside sources.”
Bitar was quoted again on January 13th, 2006 in The Hoya, denying that PSM supported Islamic terror groups, despite evidence which proves otherwise.
” Maher Bitar (SFS ’06) and Bayann Hamid (SFS ’07), who sit on SJP’s executive board, denied charges that PSM has supported Palestinian terrorist organizations like Hamas and Islamic Jihad.”
Despite knowing all about PSM’s terror ties, Bitar still took a leading role in organizing the conference at Georgetown where he hosted a seminar that was focused on how to best demonize Israel and how to effectively promote BDS. Bitar also attended at summit for the Palestinian Student Society that gave a platform to terror sympathizer and Jew hater Jospeh Massad, who has compared Israel to Nazi Germany.
In a 2006 Georgetown yearbook, Bitar can be seen in a photo he posed for next to a sign that says “Divest from Israel Apartheid.” In the photo, Bitar is wearing a kaffiyah on his head. A Kaffiyah is a Palestinian white and black checkered scarf that is worn as a symbol by Palestinian terrorists to express their resistance against Israel.
Jewish groups have begged Georgetown to distance themselves from groups like SJP and PSM, referencing the groups’ Jew hatred and terror associations. However, these Palestinian terror tied groups have been allowed to flourish at universities around the country for years, and now they will have a supporter embedded and emboldened within the top ranks of US intelligence, who will undoubtedly use his position to promote BDS, and undermine US-Israel relations within Joe Biden administrations foreign policy.
How are countries like Israel supposed to have confidence in sharing intelligence reports with the United States when a HAMAS sympathizer who doesn’t believe in Israel’s right to exist has access to that information? By appointing radical Muslims to his administration, Joe Biden is putting Americans at risk while also weakening our relationships with of allies who are committed to combatting Islamic terrorism.
There is a lot of chatter in DC as to how a terror-tied Palestinian, anti-Israel Muslim activist was appointed to the role of Senior Director for Intelligence at NSC given that Bitar is not an intelligence official. He is an activist, and this prestigious position is always given to someone who actually has a career in US intelligence. At the very least, Bitar is highly unqualified for this position.
Bitar also served as a top legal advisor to Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and was the general counsel to House Intelligence Committee Democrats during the Democrat’s first round at impeaching President Trump.
In 2007, Bitar interned with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which provides services to “Palestinian refugees”. UNRWA, on multiple occasions has been criticized by members of Congress for working with HAMAS, a designated Islamic terrorist organization with a mission statement focused on eradicating Israel and murdering Jewish people. Due to it’s anti-Israel bias and terrorist ties, the Trump administration cut U.S. aid to UNRWA in 2018.
Bitar also worked in the Obama-Biden administration where he served in the National Security Council as its director for Israeli and Palestinian affairs.
Joe Biden has already reaffirmed that his administration will re-fund the Palestinians, despite the fact that the Trump administration, via the Taylor Force Act cut off aid after it was discovered that US aid earmarked for Palestinians was being used to pay the families of Palestinian terrorists who murdered Americans and Israelis.
During his campaign, Biden was featured in numerous Islamic political ads following his discussion with Emgage Action in which he said,
“I’ll be a president who seeks out, listens to, and incorporates the ideas and concerns of Muslim Americans on everyday issues that matter most to our communities. That will include having Muslim American voices as part of my administration.”
During the same speech, Biden also promised to lift President Trump’s travel ban on individuals from Islamic terror hot zones on his first day in office, which he did the day of his inauguration. Joe Biden is one of many Democrats who have falsely described Trump’s travel ban as a “Muslim Ban”. However, President Trump never implemented a Muslim ban. Instead, Trump’s travel ban halted travel for 90 days for residents of six Muslim countries, including: Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. All of these countries have high levels of terrorist activity.
Following Biden’s speech in 2020, Emgage announced that it was coordinating the “Muslim American Executive Selection Committee,” which will “identify, evaluate and endorse highly qualified Muslim American candidates for a potential Biden administration.”
Joe Biden certainly isn’t wasting time associating with the most radical Muslims within our country, as his associations, working relationship with Emgage, and his appointment of Bitar confirm.
“Emgage”, which describes itself as “the political home for Muslim Americans”, is one of the organizations focused on getting Muslims elected to political office in the United States.
According to the Emgage website:
“Emgage focuses on programs based on community organizing and building strong relationships in order to drive voter registration and participation for the Muslim community in the United States. We seek to educate, empower, and engage Muslim Americans through educational events, voter initiatives, and leadership development in order to create a community of equitable, knowledgeable, and motivated citizens.”
Emgage is a Muslim Brotherhood affiliated group and PAC that focuses on getting Muslim and far-left candidates elected to office. While Emgage claims to be non-partisan, a quick look at who they have previously endorsed reveals that they have a liking for some of the most radical leftists in America.
Along with supporting socialist candidates, Emgage is also a highly anti-Semitic organization that keeps the company of prominent Jew haters like Linda Sarsour, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and CAIR, an internationally designated Islamic terrorist organization.
But of course, the Democrats have zero concern about jeopardizing the safety of the American people. Despite the fact that there is evidence of his terror ties, the NSC is standing with Bitar, and issued the following statement this week in response to critics: “We are appalled by recent spurious accusations against our staff. We welcome oversight and scrutiny, but there is no justification for false and ad hominem attacks based on ethnic, racial, or religious identity.”
Except the attacks are justified, and they aren’t false. Is it the official position of the Democrat Party and Joe Biden that people are not allowed to criticize someone simply because they are Muslim, even if they have documented terror ties?
That appears to be the case, and its been happening for years. Despite the fact that Ilhan Omar advocated for 9 Somali men in Minnesota who were accused of joining ISIS, she is still serving in the US Congress with zero pushback or condemnation from the Democrat Party. In fact, Omar was rewarded with a position on the coveted House Foreign Affairs committee despite her associations with ISIS, CAIR, Hamas, and her belief that the terrorist attacks on 9/11 were just a walk in the park. She described 9/11 as “some people did something” and laughed about American’s fear of Hezbollah and Al-Qaeda during an interview.
One thing is certain. The United States of America has been infiltrated and subverted by Islamists who now have access to classified information and highly sensitive intelligence. Perhaps Joe Biden’s press secretary Jen Psaki will “circle back” with us as to why the Biden administration felt it was appropriate to appoint a terror tied Muslim to his administration in a role that will certainly undermine our national security and ability to share intelligence with our allies, especially Israel.
How are Americans supposed to feel safe while knowing that Bitar could potentially leak our intelligence information to foreign enemies who harbor sympathies for Islamic terrorists? How are Jews and Christians supposed to feel knowing that Joe Biden has appointed an Islamic supremacist to a position that involves keeping Americans safe?
They can’t, and they shouldn’t feel safe with Biden’s appointment of the hateful, Jew hating, radical Muslim known as Maher Bitar.
