On Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security rebuked Ilhan Omar’s claim that ICE had targeted her son. DHS posted on its official X account that the agency has no record of Omar’s twenty-year-old son being pulled over by ICE agents in Minneapolis, AKA “Minnadishu”. On Wednesday, Omar refused to apologize for her lies when confronted by Loomer Unleashed. However, federal records do show payments from Omar’s campaign to her twenty-year-old son, raising serious questions about self-dealing and campaign finance law violations.
On Wednesday, Ilhan Omar continued walking after we asked her, “Do you think it’s responsible to lie about ICE targeting people at a time when domestic and Islamic terrorists are targeting ICE officials?”
Rep. Omar follows a typical playbook used by elected Democrats, one perfected by Maxine Waters. The “Aunt Maxine Playbook” involves playing the perpetual victim of racism. This approach allows Congressional Democrats like Omar to fundraise off claims of victimhood, which then gives them the ability to distribute funds throughout the family.
It is unknown whether Omar’s twenty-year-old adult son, Adnan Hirsi, is a willing participant in Omar’s smears against ICE. But one thing is certain. Omar has a history of using her son in political stunts.
FEC records show Omar’s campaign paid Adnan Hirsi to canvas neighborhoods in November 2024. It is an embarrassing fact that Omar had to pay her son to knock on doors for her. On the other hand, maybe Adnan Hirsi is the smartest member of the family. Who in their right mind would want to knock on doors for Omar for free?
The Omar family seems to have benefited from her time in Congress. FEC records show that Adnan Hirsi is not the only child of Omar receiving political funds. Her adult daughter, Isra Hirsi, who was suspended from Barnard College in 2024 for leading pro-Hamas protests, has received several payments from the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party, which is the state Democrat Party in Minnesota.
A recent Daily Beast article highlighted Omar’s false claims of her son being detained by ICE. It showed a picture of Omar with her children, Adnan and Isra. The children’s last name comes from Omar’s ex-husband, who is not her brother. The facts are that Omar’s family is not being targeted by racist ICE agents. Instead, Rep. Omar’s kids are living comfortable lives thanks to their mother’s job as a United States Representative.
ICE agents across the country have been subject to threats and violence. Some have been murdered. Some have been run over by cars. And instead of turning down the temperature, Democrats are cranking it up to maximize the level of danger for ICE agents within the communities they serve. It is wrong. It is irresponsible, and Rep. Omar knows it.
On Monday, the FBI announced they thwarted an Islamic terrorist attack planned for New Year’s Eve by the Turtle Island Liberation Front. The group has core beliefs involving freeing Palestine and abolishing ICE. The Islamic terrorists planned to attack by targeting ICE vehicles. It is worth noting that Omar herself has a long history of refusing to disavow pro-Hamas, anti-Trump protesters who yelled similar anti-ICE language and flew the Hamas flag outside the White House and the United States Congress.
Omar also has a history of endorsing individuals who release TikTok videos teaching illegal immigrant Somalis how to evade ICE. Omar Fateh, whom Omar endorsed for Minneapolis mayor, has been releasing videos teaching illegal immigrants how to evade ICE. It is also important to note that Omar informed Loomer Unleashed that ICE was terrorizing her community. Omar made these remarks when asked about her support of Fateh during his mayoral run.
Do not expect Congressional Democratic leadership to hold Omar accountable. History shows elected Democrats always defend Omar, no matter how crazed her lies. Earlier this year, House Democrats prevented Omar from being censured after she reshared a video calling Charlie Kirk a terrorist immediately after Kirk’s brutal assassination. Omar refused to apologize when confronted by Loomer Unleashed a few days later.

Omar is really no different than most congressional Democrats. This makes it imperative that Republicans hold the House in 2026. If Republicans fail to win the midterms, then individuals like Omar, who only care about lies and self-enrichment, will have unlimited opportunities to “get Trump” and spread their hateful ideology.
