Florida Diner: No Biden Voters Welcome

April Matthews September 2, 2021 Democrats, Joe Biden, Politics Comments Off on Florida Diner: No Biden Voters Welcome

At one Florida diner, Biden supporters aren’t welcome.

The Gateway Pundit explained:

The owner of a diner in Florida has posted a sign in the window of her business recommending that Biden supporters seek food elsewhere.

She is apparently angry about the disaster in Afghanistan, and maybe a few other things too.

It just goes to show how quickly public opinion can shift after a major event like the terror bombing in Afghanistan last week that left 13 service members dead.

The New York Post reports:

Florida diner owner posts sign telling Biden backers to eat elsewhere

The owner of a Florida diner is telling President Biden supporters they’re personae non grata in the wake of the suicide bombing that killed 13 US service members in Afghanistan.

A sign posted in the window of the DeBary Diner flatly tells would-be customers to turn around if they back Biden and his administration following Thursday’s attack by ISIS-K at the Kabul airport, WOFL reported.

“If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting the White House that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere,” the blunt notice reads.

Angie Ugarte, who has owned the diner for five years, said she posted the sign Thursday after the suicide bombing that also killed nearly 200 Afghans. She intends to keep it up as long as Americans are stranded in Afghanistan, WOFL reported.

There is a lot of anger out there over the way the Afghan withdrawal was handled.

It is justified.

Citizen Free Press added:

The DeBary Diner is turning heads with a sign posted on the front door.

It reads, “If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting the White House that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere.”

“It was the only thing I felt like I could do,” said the restaurant’s owner, Angie Ugarte.

Ugarte says she posted the message the same day 13 service members were killed in Afghanistan. “I was just angry. I was just let down. I felt like one of those mothers, or wives, or sisters who were gonna get that knock on the door,” she explained.

Ugarte, who’s been running the Debary Diner for about five years, says a lot of her regular customers are vets. She has an entire wall in the diner dedicated to members of the military. She blames President Joe Biden’s administration for the recent deaths in the Middle East.

“If you really, really still stand behind what’s allowed this to happen and the way it happened – which was unnecessary then I really don’t want to be associated with you in any way and I certainly don’t want your business.”

So what do the customers think?

“I’ve had people come to the door and look at it and turn around and walk away. And I’ve had people come into the kitchen while I’m cooking and say, ‘Hey, I love your sign,’” Ugarte said.
