General Mark Milley reportedly vowed to fight then-President Donald Trump in 2020 “from the inside” and dared those opposed to his actions to arrest him.

Milley, currently serving as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – a role he was nominated for by Trump – was quoted in a new book as having realized that Trump was “doing great and irreparable harm.”

Following an incident in which a decision was made to remove rioters from Lafayette Square during a protest in June of 2020, the General, according to excerpts from the book, The Divider: Trump in The White House, Milley vowed to fight rather than resign.

“Fuck that shit,” he allegedly told his staff at the time. “I’ll just fight him.”

“If they want to court-martial me, or put me in prison, have at it,” Milley continued. “But I will fight from the inside.”

The stunning excerpts were published by The New Yorker. The Divider is due out in September.

Mark Milley Said He’d Fight Trump From the Inside – And Then He DID

Excerpts from the book indicate General Mark Milley kept his word, even colluding with high-ranking Democrats in efforts to disobey the Commander-in-Chief, or at least let them know he would do so.

With the election approaching, “the chairman sought to get the message to Democrats that he would not go along with any further efforts by the President to deploy the machinery of war for domestic political ends,” the New Yorker reports.

“He called both Pelosi and Schumer.”

Adam Smith (D-WA), the House Armed Services Committee chairman, that “there was never a single solitary moment where it was possible that Milley was going to help Trump do anything that shouldn’t be done.”

Fighting the President from within, while vowing to disobey orders from the Commander-in-Chief are, in some people’s eyes, treason.

Called to Warn China About Trump

Milley’s defiance of Trump, however, was not limited to “domestic” matters and this isn’t the only time the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has been accused of being a deep state enemy of the former President.

Milley, according to a book titled Peril published in September of 2021, assured General Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army of China that the United States military would not strike.

Perhaps most astonishing was a quote provided by the Washington Post which shows Milley was willing to warn China if an attack was in the works.

“General Li, you and I have known each other for now five years. If we’re going to attack, I’m going to call you ahead of time,” he purportedly said. “It’s not going to be a surprise.”

Milley defended making secret phone calls to China behind Trump’s back, insisting he had “absolute” loyalty to the country.

“My loyalty to this nation, its people, and the Constitution hasn’t changed and will never change as long as I have a breath to give,” he said during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing. “My loyalty is absolute, and I will not turn my back on the fallen.”

Trump has asserted Milley is a “dumbass” who should have resigned for his backdoor phone call to China.

“If the story of ‘Dumbass’ General Mark Milley … is true, then I assume he would be tried for TREASON in that he would have been dealing with his Chinese counterpart behind the President’s back and telling China that he would be giving them notification ‘of an attack,’” he said.

Trump was right. Milley’s actions were extraordinarily serious.

They could have very easily prompted China, perhaps fearful that America’s top military officer thought President Trump was so unhinged he could greenlight an attack, to launch their own military action against America first.

He could have started an actual war between nuclear powers.

Fox News reported that Milley’s calls weren’t a secret and involved at least 15 others.

They indicate that Milley’s calls to China were “coordinated before and after” with then-Defense Secretary Mark Esper and then-acting Defense Secretary Christopher Miller’s staff among others.

Esper, The Political Insider reported, ordered a “backchannel” message to reassure China the United States would not be seeking military action in the days leading up to the 2020 presidential election.

Milley, therefore, wasn’t the only one fighting Trump from within, as many of the former President’s supporters have contended for some time. All of them should be taken up on the offer to have them court-martialed and imprisoned.
