Apparently, democrats think that they can break the law and use drugs… even operate a drug house… without punishment… or at least one democrat thought that.

Fox News reported:

A Michigan city council member was charged last week with drug possession and running a drug house, after authorities searched his home about eight months ago, according to reports.

Roseville City Councilman Charles Frontera, 32, was arraigned via Zoom on Wednesday for charges of crack cocaine possession, less than 25 grams, and maintaining a drug house, records show.

“It just leaves a black eye on the city of Roseville,” Mayor Robert Taylor told the Detroit Free Press. “I hope he tells everyone the truth and we move on in the city of Roseville, either with or without him.”

Michigan State Police raided Frontera’s Roseville home on Feb. 24, which resulted in two people being arrested following an investigation, Fox 2 Detroit reported.

“There were quite a few cop cars that were out there,” said neighbor Garret Zacharek told the station in February. “Pretty shocking, it is a pretty quiet neighborhood, not a lot going on, very unexpected.”

Taylor said Frontera has attended city council meetings since authorities searched his home and he has not yet resigned, reports said.

His attorney, Vince Manzella provided an emailed statement to the paper: “Thank you for reaching out, but at this time I do not have any comment.”

Frontera did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

He was released on bond and a probable cause conference is set for Oct. 26.

Frontera was elected to his second, four-year term on City Council last November.

[Look carefully, no mention of the druggie’s political affiliation is mentioned, but records clearly show that he helped form the South Central Macomb Democratic Club in 2016. He has also served as its Treasurer since 2018.]

MSN ‘reported’:

Frontera, 32, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, narcotic/cocaine less than 25 grams; and controlled substance, maintaining a drug house, according to court records.

He was arraigned via Zoom on Wednesday in 41B District Court in Clinton Township after 39th District Court judges in Roseville recused themselves. He was released on a $10,000 personal bond, according to 41B District Court officials.

Taylor said Frontera remains a member of the City Council and has not resigned. He said Frontera has attended council meetings since the search at his home except for Tuesday’s meeting.

Taylor said Frontera notified him a little after 6 p.m. that he would not make this week’s meeting, but that Frontera did not explain the reason for his absence.

Taylor said he hasn’t spoken with Frontera since. He said he doesn’t know if Frontera is involved in the things he is accused of, adding Frontera is innocent until proven guilty.

The City Council wasn’t privy to information about the investigation, Taylor said. And he said he was “a bit surprised” to hear of Frontera’s alleged involvement.

“It’s a shock to the whole City Council and the whole city of Roseville,” Taylor said Thursday.

The next City Council meeting is Oct. 27.

Frontera is a lifelong Roseville resident and graduated from Roseville High School in 2006, according to his Facebook page.

A year later, at the age of 19, he was appointed to the Roseville Parks and Recreation Board, making him the youngest board member to ever serve in the city, according to his biography on the city’s website.

The biography states that Frontera is appointed to the Recreation Authority of Roseville and Eastpointe board, where he serves as vice chairman and past acting chairman.

Frontera also is past chairman of the Roseville Community Coalition, the biography states, “fighting against drug and alcohol abuse in the city’s youth.”

He has held other roles in the area, including in the creation of the Millennial Mayors Congress in 2008, representing Roseville until 2015; and helping to form the South Central Macomb Democratic Club in 2016, where he has served as treasurer since 2018, according to the biography.

It states that he owned and operated a small business for more than six years and has been active in the local Chamber of Commerce. His Facebook page states he owns and operates his own eyecare business.
