Soros Group Inserts Itself Into AZ Audit As ‘Non-Profit’ To Stop Rig Exposure

April Matthews April 29, 2021 Democrats, George Soros, Politics Comments Off on Soros Group Inserts Itself Into AZ Audit As ‘Non-Profit’ To Stop Rig Exposure

In an effort to ensure that elections remain rigged, a Soros-owned group has inserted itself into the Arizona audit process.

The Gateway Pundit reported:

There is yet another George Soros connected crooked nonprofit involved in the attempt to stop the Maricopa County election audit.

We already reported on how the “Protect Democracy Project” joined three legal teams in threatening the auditors who are attempting to perform an audit in Maricopa County.

But today we can report that another Democrat nonprofit is involved in the audit in Maricopa County. This nonprofit is from the top of the Democrat, Not-for-profit (NFP) heap. This tells you the Democrat socialists are really, really worried about the Maricopa audit, to have deployed this weapon.

The NFP now entering the Maricopa County election audit is American Oversight.  Its president, Dominique Bravo, is from New York State (NYS) and is strongly affiliated with the Working Families Party (WFP), the country’s most powerful socialist political party, started in NYS in 1998 with a party presence now in 21 states. The WFP always hooks up with the Democratic Party.

American Oversight fancies itself the Judicial Watch (JW) of the far left. Whereas Tom Fitton, at JW, is interested in getting the facts by utilizing the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) mechanism, American Oversight uses FOIAs to get the dirt on political opponents and take them down.

Influence Watch states: “American Oversight (AO) is an activist and litigation organization focusing on filing open records requests targeting Republican interests, especially the administration of President Donald Trump … it claims to be “the top Freedom of Information Act litigator investigating the Trump administration,” with more than 1000 open records requests and 56 lawsuits filed in 2018 … While promoting itself as a “non-partisan” watchdog, American Oversight frequently appears explicitly partisan in its choice of investigative projects.

You can see their list of current litigation here.

You can see their 2019 tax filing and list of Board members here.

This NFP is yet another one from the Democrat stable which is a 510(c)(3) and, although it is required by law to be strictly nonpartisan and charitable, it is anything but. It is a well-funded, cold, and calculating legal hit team, initially designed to attack President Donald Trump. Now, it is involved in Maricopa County Arizona, attempting to sabotage and halt the forensic audit being conducted by the Arizona Senate.

Located in Washington, D.C., this charity had gross receipts of $3,732,681 in 2019. These alleged nonpartisan charities – which are legally allowed to pass along tax exemptions to their donors – must disclose all their donors who give over $5,000 on their yearly tax forms, the Form 990. However, the government then must redact that data when it posts these public documents.

Therefore, the public doesn’t have a clue who dumped all this money on American Oversight in 2019!

Now, American Oversight (AO) has turned its eager-beaver legal attention to the forensic audit in Arizona, filing reams of Freedom of Information Act requests, blanketing the state with them, and gumming up the works of real governmental work. Clearly, AO can’t let this audit go forward and risk other states following suit, and – God forbid – President Trump being back in the presidential saddle!

Here’s the last paragraph of an OpEd on the American Oversight website:

Aggressive oversight is needed. American Oversight has filed public records requests for the audit-related communications of Fann, Petersen, Farnsworth, and Finchem — including with Trump attorneys, Maricopa elections officials, and external parties like Cyber Ninjas — as well as for copies of any contracts with companies like Cyber Ninjas to provide services relevant to the audit.

Here’s an article on American Oversight’s website announcing this newest Democrat, nonprofit hit upon the Maricopa County forensic audit being conducted by the Arizona Senate.  This, of course, is an exaggeration since most of the members on the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors are Republicans:

On Tuesday, American Oversight launched an investigation into the Arizona Senate’s partisan audit of the 2020 presidential election ballots cast in Maricopa County, filing 19 public records requests for key documents related to the audit, including contracts and communications with the cybersecurity company Cyber Ninjas.…

American Oversight has filed public records requests for the related communications of Fann, Petersen, Farnsworth, and state Rep. Mark Finchem — including communications with former President Trump’s attorneys, Maricopa elections officials, and external parties like Cyber Ninjas. The watchdog also requested copies of any contracts with Cyber Ninjas or other companies hired to provide services relevant to the audit.

American Oversight has been investigating efforts in Arizona and across the country to undermine the 2020 election and cast doubt on the democratic process. We previously uncovered copies of the phony electoral certificates sent to Congress by Trump supporters in Arizona and six other states as part of the attempt to overturn the election results. Separately, American Oversight has obtained records shedding light on efforts by the Trump White House to pressure officials in Georgia to reverse that state’s election results.

Here is an excellent Capital Research Center (CRC) review of American Oversight:

The group should call itself an attack dog rather than an “ethics watchdog.” Its leader was an attorney in the Obama State Department, senior staffer to Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and a researcher for the agitation group People for the American Way. Even the liberal Mother Jones called American Oversight “a liberal advocacy group.”

Kyle Herrig, a member of the group’s board of directors, connects American Oversight to the New Venture Fund—a mysterious 501(c)(3) mega-funder that raked in a stunning $358 million in 2016, according to its most recent tax filings. As we document at InfluenceWatch.org, the New Venture Fund maintains a host of websites designed to look like independent activist organizations, including Restore Public Trust and the anti-Kavanaugh group Fix the Court.

But it’s the New Venture Fund’s penchant for funneling millions of dollars to left-wing advocacy groups like David Brock’s Media Matters for America and the Center for American Progress that has led many to call it a “dark money outfit,” that is, a funding conduit that shields donors from scrutiny.”
