Memphis police announced Wednesday night they had taken into custody Ezekiel Kelly, the accused 19-year-old man mass shooter livestreaming his shooting spree. There is no official word on victims yet from police, however earlier local news reports stated one person had been killed and one wounded.

Kelly is a convicted criminal who had been released in March early from a three year sentence.

Memphis police earlier released a BOLO photo of Ezekiel Kelly.

“****UPDATE 9:28 PM****** SUSPECT IS IN CUSTODY Ezekiel D. Kelly Please follow our social media platforms for updates. Please avoid the area of Ivan Road & Hodge Road”

WMC-TV reporter Joyce Peterson posted Kelly has a warrant for murder, “#NEW: the 19-year-old active shooter suspect Ezekiel Kelly has an active warrant due 1st Degree Murder. He’s being taken to a nearby fire station to be checked out.”

Peterson witnessed Kelly being captured by police.

Local news reports Kelly shot a woman in medical scrubs who went to his aid after he feigned being hurt.

Andy Ngo posted photos from Kelly’s Facebook page and his rap sheet.

The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported Kelly’s early release from a three year sentence:

“Kelly has prior arrests for attempted first-degree murder and reckless endangerment in 2020. He was sentenced to three years but was released March 16 this year. Police issued a warrant for first-degree murder for Kelly on Wednesday night. Police did not immediately say how many people were injured or killed.”
