A new demonic-looking statue has been placed on top of a Manhattan Courthouse.

The golden statue, named “NOW” ,stands at about 8ft and depicts a woman with horns wearing a lace collar.

It was resurrected on top of the First Judicial Department of the State Supreme Court in an attempt to honor the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The artist behind the statue is Pakistani American Shahzia Sikander.

Sikander told The New York Times she called the statue NOW “because it was needed ‘now,’ at a time when women’s reproductive rights were under siege after the U.S. Supreme Court in June overturned the constitutional right to abortion.”

Although the Times wrote an extensive piece praising the new statue, users on Twitter have different feeling about the new statue.
